A few companies offer vivid colors such as bright turquoise, fuchsia, and even orange. By the mid-nineties, manufacturers are expected to introduce tinted neutrals and soft hues such as straw yellow, terra cotta, and stone. Deep tones and overdyes add to the mix. The use of various color thread for top stitching can add decorative detailing. Instead of matching thread, orange, white, or light blue thread is used on blue denim.
